About Us

The Old Kingstonians’ Association (OKA) comprises former staff and pupils of Kingston High School in Hull, its predecessor schools and its successor school. Others can join the Association as “friends”, for example children of former pupils or those with other connections to or interest in the schools.

The Association serves as a focal point through which members can meet, maintain and develop friendships, and the Volunteer Group is very active. We produce regular newsletters with articles covering members’ memories of the schools and other items of interest, often including photographs. We also collect and preserve memorabilia of the schools, most of which is available online and also in person to the public. This memorabilia includes nearly 2,000 photographs, Speech Day programmes, school magazines and lots more. In addition, we organise events such as exhibitions and reunions, and maintain strong links with our successor school Sirius West Academy, which was housed in the now demolished Pickering Road building until it moved to a new building on Anlaby Park Road South in Hull.

We would like to invite you to join the Old Kingstonians’ Association – lifetime membership costs only £5. You will receive our newsletters and invitations to reunions and other events we organise. Who knows, you may get also get back in touch with some of your old school friends!

If you would like to join the Association, please click on the Join Us tab at the top of this page and complete the membership form, which has full details of how to pay your lifetime membership fee.
