Old Kingstonians 60s Reunion
Just over fifty people headed to the Goodfellowship on Friday 14th September for the Association’s 60’s Reunion, and if anyone had wondered if they would know anyone, or if they were the only person to be going grey, their fears were soon dispelled!
The loud buzz of laughter and conversation went on until nearly midnight.
The large collection of memorabilia, which not only brought back memories, but names to faces not quite forgotten, was a hive of activity and source of anecdotes throughout.
The food was good, the venue easy to get to, the company stimulating, and even the music, if we had paused to listen, was just what we still liked and remembered.
There we all were. The ones keen to re-ignite old friendships and acquaintances; the ones who remembered with fondness the past glories we achieved; the more sober and learned of us, who revealed how naughty they had been in reality, and of course the gate crashers, who after all these years, were still true to type!
What a joy to be in our sixties, and remember the sixties!
Great night, great company, and more important, great to be back together!
“Those were the days my friend………..”
Here’s to the next time!
